Misty B. Franklin sits Of Counsel at Middlebrook and Associates. She is an accomplished attorney with a wealth of experience in both criminal defense and civil litigation. She specializes in corporate defense, defending both small and large businesses in various labor and employment law actions, including double class actions, wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.
Prior to becoming a legal ninja, Misty taught chemistry, physics, and biology, maintaining her credentials to this day because of her deep love of science. Her science background, ability to read a jury, and extensive litigation expertise gives Middlebrook and Associates a unique force to be reckoned with.

Misty graduated at the top of her class with a Juris Doctorate from Monterey College of Law and has been a member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association (DUIDLA) since 2018. She has attended several DUIDLA conferences over the years, insisting on keeping up with the latest science relating to DUI defense.
Misty also holds certifications in International Mediation, Real Property Mediations, and Mediating the Complex Litigated Case. In her role as Of Counsel, she emphasizes humanizing the individuals she represents. Misty’s strong conviction in the duty of police officers, judges, and attorneys in upholding an individual’s Constitutional rights ensures our clients will have the best representation available and that no stone will be left unturned.
In addition to her legal practice, Misty served as an Adjunct Law Professor of Legal Skills at the Kern County College of Law. She has been an elected member of the Kern County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Board of Directors since 2021 and has received numerous awards, including the Judge Arthur E.
